These days, the market changes are a fascinating mix of new home buyers entering the market with greater purchase power boosted by low interest rates, pent up buyer demand (it’s so very Seattle) and a low inventory and you’ve got our current market. The condo market is also starting to rise, and median home prices are holding steady. As an example, looking at sold single-family homes going back 180 days in Ballard ($500,000 to $850,000) there were 71 listings where 20 sold at less than asking, 41 over asking, and 10 at asking.
